Reviews for Sino Kitchen
Review highlights
Based on 337 reviewsSino Kitchen in Doncaster East is widely recognized for its authentic Cantonese cuisine and exceptional seafood dishes, with particular praise for items like roast duck, steamed fish, and lobster. Customers frequently highlight the friendly and welcoming atmosphere provided by the owners, contributing to a warm dining experience. The restaurant’s BYO policy without corkage adds to its appeal, encouraging guests to pair their meals with chosen wines. While the food quality and service receive consistent commendations, some diners note the limited space between tables and occasional issues with dish seasoning, such as overly salty flavors. Despite being tucked away, it tends to attract a steady crowd, even on weekdays, reflecting its strong local reputation.
Always love it here. Had lunch on this occasion but love their dinner dishes more. The owners are the loveliest of people always very friendly. My go to place for authentic Chinese cuisine.
Great lunch, lobster & steamed fish was cooked to perfection.
Very good Cantonese cuisine restaurant. Serve good seafood. BYO with no corkage fee applies, so just bring you good wine especially pinor noir to pair with the roast duck, perfect combination! Great service and the food are well served. Must try the roast duck and steam oyster and scallops. Will definitely recommended this restaurant to others.
The streets around the restaurant were quiet so it was a little deceiving as we thought it would be empty, but after a while it started to get busy. We ordered Steamed Fish, Fried rice, Snow pea with garlic and Sweet and Sour pork. The fish was steamed well, tender and juicy, the snow peas were cooked just right, but the sweet and sour pork was a little too salty for our palette. Over all it was a pleasant meal
A decent restaurant tucked away in a corner serving marvelous Cantonese cuisine. We ordered the yam duck and lobster noodles enough to feed the 4 of us.Parking is plentiful surrounding the restaurant. Only down side I would say is the tight space between tables and they are full house on a Monday evening!
Top quality Cantonese food. Melbourne locals took us here. Enjoyed our food here very much. Very authentic and tasty.
Seven hungry diners walked into Sino Kitchen, and left really full, happy and satisfied. We had booked to have lunch at Sino Kitchen on the recommendation of another family friend and we were not disappointed at all.The pics here is of all the food we ordered and it was delicious. I don’t have one particular stand out dish as they all were amazing. Our guests had vegetarian requests too, which were amply catered too by the Sino Kitchen menu options. The server also kindly portioned out the steamed fish for us individually.Plenty of parking options, in fact two large car parks on either side of the restaurant, so driving there is definitely an option. The green tea was piping hot and tasty and definitely a favourite across our guests to complement the food. This was a good recommendation and we will be back to Sino Kitchen.
Found this great little spot hidden at the back corner of Tunstall Square and was pleasantly surprised with the food and venue. The Taro Duck is one of my favourite dishes of the night and very worth it.Everything else has a very authentic Cantonese flavours and styles and the range of dishes is very deep as expected. The venue was surprisingly more spacious than expected and parking is ample nearby.
